A vibrant mosaic mural has been installed in the courtyard of the newly constructed My Angel apartments by L.A. Family Housing The space is designated for veterans and individuals transitioning out of homelessness. This project is a testament to the power of art in transforming spaces and lives.

Piece by Piece had recently been awarded the project, so I contacted them to share my experience with the original National Veterans Mural. Once again, the timing turned out to be perfect; the workshops for the Veterans Legacy Mural project were just about to begin. I was then invited to collaborate with Piece by Piece and Metro Arts as a guest artist on the new mural - 28 years after my original involvement!

Piece by Piece — an L.A.-based arts organization with a history of working with veterans — has been selected by visual arts professionals and representatives from the veteran community to design a mosaic artwork at a site next to the Westwood/VA Hospital Station. This is part of the Metro Art program for the Westside Purple (D Line) Extension Project.
